When most people hear of the  “Heavy Metal Bus Tour” they think of rock concerts, but in central and northern Wisconsin the Heavy Metal Bus Tour is an event held in October during Manufacturing Month that gives eighth-grade students the opportunity to learn about  manufacturing by touring local manufacturing facilities and  technical colleges.

Last week from September 10th-15th, The Association for Manufacturing Technology held its 32nd edition of the International Manufacturing Technology Show. The International Manufacturing Technology Show is held every other year—on even-numbered years—at the McCormick Place complex in Chicago where individuals from 117 countries around the world gather to display and view new and upcoming technology in the world of manufacturing.

Earlier this year, Marten Machining reached a company milestone by earning certification in ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485.
